What equipment do I need for my home practice?

Generally while practicing yoga in home, a Yoga Mat is preferred. But while doing certain postures, Yoga block is helpful. It is always better to wear clothes which are comfortable and it should not be obstructive while performing the yoga postures.

Ideal time to do yoga ?

Usually morning sessions are very ideal but there is no specific time to perform yoga. Evening sessions are also very relaxing and it is considered as a ideal way of unwinding after work. So it depends on your daily schedule.

Can I eat before yoga?

It is always better to have empty stomach during a yoga session. At least a gap of two hours is advisable between meal and yoga because the body will not be in a position to digest the food immediately and at least two hours is required for this purpose.

What are the benefits of yoga?

Yoga contributes a lot towards physical health as well as mental health of an individual. Yoga improves breathing, cardiac health, fitness levels, metabolism. Yoga also helps in relaxing mind, to be more calm and more balanced. Yoga is widely opted for managing stress effectively.
